刚刚过去的“华西-梅奥重症医学论坛2016”还在回味，新的一届大会又扑面而来。在“华西-梅奥国际重症医学大会2017”的举办中，我们依然秉持不忘初心的“规范核心技术、聚焦年度热点”的主题词和核心内容。继续为各位同道奉献最实用的基本理论、基本规范和基本技能。在国家级继续教育项目“重症循环管理”、“重症临床营养”、“重症镇痛镇静”、“重症机械通气”、“重症胰腺炎”与“重症护理系列培训”的精品培训上，通过国内著名教授、临床医疗、呼吸治疗及护理专家的高水准、系统性、实用性的理论讲授和形式多样的临床技能实践，对学员们进行重症医学最核心临床内容的教育与培训。

Dear colleagues,

West China-Mayo International Forum of Critical Care Medicine is a series of training programs focusing on the basic theory and key technologies in critical care medicine.  We had our first forum successfully held in November 18 – 20, 2016 at Chengdu China. During this three-day forum, experts from West China Hospital and Mayo Clinic plus over 1000 Chinese critical Care specialist got together had given over 100 oral presentations, shared the latest advances and hot topics of critical care medicine.

By the theme of ’Training the key technology, focusing on the annual hot topics’, this forum provides a platform to exposure and exchange of academic ideas in critical care medicine, thus better solves the clinical problems in ICUs all over the country. I firmly believe that by cohesively collaborative efforts between the West China hospital and the Mayo clinic, this series of training program will continuously bring great advantages to attendees to further pay close attention on latest information, clinical management and scientific research in critical care medicine, additionally, to bridge the gap of academic and clinical practice concepts between the United States and China.

The Critical Care Medicine is not only the most comprehensive and rapidly developing discipline in clinical practice, but also full of great challenges for critical care practitioners because of the perplexing condition of critically ill patients and the rapid updating conceptions of monitoring and support strategy. We believe that with the devoted organization of West China critical care team and strong support from Mayo critical care team, this annual forum will foster critical care professionals with ability for better medical services to the public.
